We are looking for talented engineering leader who will be responsible for building applications to support best in class for online, mobile and in-store customer experience. This person will be responsible to lead a team of engineers to design and implement projects based on business requirements developed in partnership with product management and business owners. We are looking for someone who is excited about technology and has strong focus on delivering business value.



Responsibilities:

•Provide day to day direction to the team of engineers to consistently deliver best in class ecommerce applications. 

•Create project timelines and manage development milestones and deliverables.

•Lead release prioritization and scoping to maintain balance between projects, enhancements, bug fixes and production support activities always ensuring that the backlog is groomed and prioritized according to the overall strategy and roadmap

•Lead the project planning, design and development and delivery of ecommerce initiatives spanning new programs / projects, bug fixes and enhancements

•Implement best practices in production support, lead troubleshooting site experience issues and be responsible for communicating action plan, status and preventive measures to all stakeholders

•Closely monitor analytics, site performance and other alerting and monitoring tools to ensure high quality of customer experience

•Identify and drive adoption of new tools, techniques, processes and methodology to improve engineering delivery

•Build and foster an excellent relationship with both business and IT stakeholders


Skills, Abilities, Experience & Qualifications
Required Knowledge & Experience:
•10+ years of experience delivering highly scalable ecommerce software engineering initiatives
•5+ years of experience leading ecommerce initiatives in a retail environment that requires extensive collaboration across cross-functional groups including external vendors
•5+ years of proven leadership experience in managing in-house and outsourced teams of highly professional engineers
•3+ years of experience in IBM WebSphere Commerce required including experience with WCS version upgrades
•Hands on experience developing of web/mobile applications
•Strong working knowledge and experience with JavaScript including AJAX/JSON and JavaScript application frameworks such as jQuery and Dojo preferred.
•Ability to build and grow strong teams
•Experience working in an agile environment with strong understanding of agile SDLC processes.


Preferred Skills:
•Experience in building distributed microservices architecture
•Familiarity with container technology 
•Understanding of DevOps best practices and familiar with physical architecture and infrastructure needs of ecommerce platform
•Understanding of supporting technologies – middleware, distributed order management systems, payment and fraud, tax etc.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week from the Company’s Fremont, California corporate office with flexibility based on project needs
