At the Company, tailors are widely thought of as one of the most important members of the store team.  With the addition of a thriving tuxedo rental business to our retail product, tailors are also a valued member of the distribution centers.

The tailors at the distribution centers typically perform the following tasks:

  • Perform alterations, repairs, and tailoring to rental product
  • Inspect returned rental product for necessary alterations or repairs
  • Assist the tuxedo production team with the inbound and outbound processing of rental tuxedos

Successful tailors at the distribution centers usually have the following characteristics and experience:

  • Experience sewing by hand and by machine required
  • Working knowledge of Blind Stitch and Sleeve Feller sewing machines
  • Knowledge of how to operate a utility press and spotting board
  • Flexibility in scheduling based production needs, some overtime might be required during high volume periods
