Systems Analyst - Merchandising
Position Summary:
Tailored Brands, LLC. is looking for an experienced Merchandising Systems Analyst to operate as a key contributor for analysis, troubleshooting, design and testing of our Merchandise Systems. These systems encompass both in-house developed systems as well as third party on- prem and cloud based solutions to meet the changing needs of our Merchandise and Retail systems community.
This individual will apply expertise in methodologies to:
A) Gather and Document Requirements
B) Work with Developers and the architects to create good design documents
C) Create business and data flow documents when needed
D) Create System Test plans along with tracking and resolution at the time of execution
E) Troubleshoot problems and issues with data, system errors
This individual will work on new projects, current systems modifications, data validations, and support for our Customer based related to problem resolution, change requests and system efficiency and stability. This work will include:
• Problem / Issue Triage to determine priority work
• Establishing and supporting the SLA standards for our in-house and third-party software systems
• Working with developers and our customer base to ensure the data we deliver is accurate and timely
• Working with our Customer Base to vet and define new work projects, changes, and eliminations of systems where required
• Working with the project manager(s) to define and build out the required work and timelines for work efforts
This Individual will be integral to the Testing and Validation steps for all project work in order to assure quality product delivery. This will include:
• The ability to build out clearly defined Test plans, scenarios with defined metrics for success or failure
• The ability to track and report Test issues, problems in a tool such as JIRA or SharePoint
• The ability to build out test cases based on traceability to the defined work requirements
• Understanding how to build validation steps, processes to ensure the data delivered is accurate and timely based on the work requirements
• The ability to work the proper team members and system partners to :
o Establish quality test environments
o Accurate Data loads for testing
o Ensure a sound Test bed for good end to end testing overall
• Develop an understanding of the overall Business process and Data flow and use for the systems that are integral to our Merchandise and Retail community including the transactional process and data flow from the multiple system inputs
• Additional duties as assigned
Desired Skills, Abilities, Experience & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
• Experience as an analyst in a retail environment
• Experience creating and implementing test plans
• Experience defining, tracking and reporting metrics related to project work and testing
•Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook, also use of test tracking tools like Jira /Confluence is desired
• Utilization of SQL or other query languages desired
• Knowledge of or Experience using relational databases, multi-value databases (UniVerse), coding languages (basic, SQL, Java, etc), web services and micro-services is a benefit
• Understanding processes to build validation and verification of data and data flow is desired
• Good functional understanding or experience with Data Bases and Designs, Coding and Code Languages, Commonly used tools used by developers and database admins.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work professionally with employees at all levels of internal and external organizations

• Must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, and the desire and ability to develop and maintain fluency with business processes and applicable technologies
Work Environment and Business Acumen:
• Demonstrated strong communication skills and the ability to think and plan strategically
• Strong team building skills including facilitating group sessions, reaching consensus, and developing solid relationships across internal and external organization
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain flexibility in a fast paced environment
• Houston, Texas area resident; willing to travel on a limited basis
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States
• Ability to pass a thorough background check
