We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Communications Specialist to join our Store Operations team in our headquarters in Fremont, CA.


As a Store Communications Specialist you are expected to work in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism, customer service and confidentiality. You are responsible for learning, retaining and understanding the company’s corporate and store structures which are critical to providing the level of communication and knowledge necessary to complete operational tasks and execute key initiatives. The Store Communications Specialist has responsibilities focused on Communication Strategy which requires strong organizational and excellent communication skills, with a focus on attention to detail to manage administrative challenges of supporting a diverse group and working effectively in a multi-task environment. Also required is the ability to work effectively within a team environment, including building and maintaining strong relationships throughout the organization with both field and corporate business partners.


Duties and Responsibilities:

•Develop and sustain knowledge to continually be a Store Communications expert and support our internal customers on operational policies, practices, procedures and our Communication Strategy.

•Support the Manager as the gatekeeper of communications and manage workload for the field.

•Support multi-unit managers of multiple divisions – understanding the nuances of each brand to communicate effectively.

•Recognize opportunities within the department or company to better manage the stores’ workload to be more efficient, cost effective and focused on priorities.

•Maintain a level of expertise on current and future store processes, procedures, and initiatives.

•Occasionally work in stores to understand the day-to-day experience in the field, and best represent a store perspective at the corporate level.

•Demonstrate exceptional teamwork to ensure department meets service level expectations.

•Support Store Operations Specialists to answer store operational calls and email, as assigned.

•Work within different systems to research information, troubleshoot and/or reach resolution.

•Manage specific projects which may be assigned to you planned or ad-hoc.


Skills, Abilities, Experience & Qualifications
•Retail Management Experience preferred.
•Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Business Management preferred.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to flex to various audiences.
•Exceptional customer service skills with the desire to satisfy our internal and external customers.
•Strong analytical skills to identify potential obstacles or opportunities to drive the business. 
•Solid time management skills to manage store operations calls/email service levels, as well as meet personal workload/project deadlines.
•Ability to excel in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment.
•Capable to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Ability to think strategically to develop a communications plan for the field organization.
•Ability to take the initiative and follow through.
•Strong command of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint – Savvy enough to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
•Knowledge of Tailored Brands in-store and back office systems a plus (JAVA POS, Oracle, Putty, PeopleSoft, SCA, Empower, etc.).
•Position is based in Fremont, California Home Office.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
•Ability to work at least 40 hours per week from the Company’s Fremont, California corporate office with flexibility based on project needs
