Distribution Manager
Maintenance and Facilities Manager
Summary/Objective
The Maintenance and Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facility operations. The position follows budgets and implements schedules for maintenance and facilities staff. Facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs.
Essential Functions
• Works with cross functional teams to find resolutions to procedural and operational challenges
• Plans budgets and schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates
• Inspects construction and installation progress of various projects as needed
• Initiates planned maintenance programs for a variety of departments
• Manages the Service Now system for maintenance and facility service requests
• Manages preventive maintenance of all equipment, including conveyors systems, material handling equipment and building fire and security systems
• Interacts with subcontractors and outside vendors
• Oversees the parking and security program
• Oversees the cleaning and maintenance of facility
• Monitors departmental payment of invoices
• Completes projects or additional duties as required
• Uses KPI’s to manage and provide feedback to technicians and facility staff

Supervisory Responsibility
• This position directly supervises building maintenance and facilities personnel
Including, various contracting crews
Required Education and Experience
• Prefer but not required, BS or Associate degree with technical training in plant engineering or factory/plant maintenance
• Minimum of three to five years of progressive experience and responsibility in a maintenance field, two of which were holding a supervisory position directing a multifunctional facilities and maintenance staff. Minimum 5 years of proven hands on distribution management history will be considered.
• Must have “hands-on” leadership role supervising direct reports
• Knowledge of PC skills (Windows, Excel and Outlook)
• Must be able to respond to after hour emergencies and cover weekend supervisory duties, facility inspections, etc.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to a changing environment (i.e.; increased hours, volume of work, shifting priorities, multiple demands, staffing shortages, tools, procedures, etc.)
• Requires ability to attend meetings, visit customer vendor locations in the area and potentially travel to other Distribution Centers
• Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and meet tight deadlines

Physical Demands
Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. The position requires walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods through the day. The employee may reach above shoulder heights or below the waist or lift as required to store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required.
