Data Analyst – Logistics

Responsibilities included, but not limited to the following:
Proactively manage international inbound import and foreign documents
· Obtain, review and approve all international shipping documentation
· Forward international shipping documents to our Accounts Payable team to ensure prompt processing and subsequent payments in conjunction with agreed upon payment terms
· Supply our US Customs broker with necessary documents to complete US Customs clearance in a timely manner
· Work to resolve any/all outstanding compliance or systematic issues across multiple functions to ensure regulatory requirements are met
· File all required documentation and further backup
· Submit freight forwarder invoices to our Accounts Payable team to provide payment in accordance with our agreed upon terms
Monitor all international inbound containers
· Track and trace all inbound containers
· Update estimated arrival dates as needed
· Identify potential delays that could be operationally problematic, notify appropriate parties, recommend follow-ups and execute resolutions as directed
Provide back up support within Logistics team as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
· Positive, courteous, and professional at all times
· Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
· Basic knowledge of importation and freight operations, as well as working knowledge accounting and GL functions
· Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
· Able to learn computer applications quickly
· Possess strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal communication and people skills
· Must possess and exhibit an impeccable work ethic, dependability, and punctuality
· Able to function as a resourceful and proactive member of a team
· Be adaptable to change and open to take on new projects whenever presented
· Be able to manage projects and meet deadlines
· Ability to maintain a sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time and operate computer equipment
· Ability to work full time from our Company's Hampstead, MD office
