Key Accountabilities: 


•Assist staff with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.

•Maintain daily open communication with parents

•Maintain confidentiality.

•Report any suspect abuse to supervisor

•Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy

•Maintain a safe and healthy environment

•Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials

•Attend in-service and staff meetings as well as recommended training programs

•Meet all applicable licensing regulations

•Maintain classroom maintenance routines throughout the day that keep all interactive areas sanitary and safe

•Monitor children during activities and interact with children to enhance their learning

•Prepare and serve meals and monitor children during meal-time

•Assist children to become aware of their roles as integral members of a group.

•Arrangement, appearance, decor, and learning environment of the classroom in 

cooperation with other staff.

•Keep appropriate records such as attendance, daily log, and accident reports.

•Assisting in the effective use of parent resources and referral information.


Skills/Abilities/Experience & Qualifications:

•3-6 completed units of early childhood education, with a preferable 3 units of infant-toddler care and education
•18 years old, high school graduate or enrolled in an ROP at an accredited high school
•Must have the personality and ability to provide leadership and work with a team to promote program continuity.
•TB test, Pertussis and Measles immunization required, flu shot encouraged
•CPR and First Aid Certification Required.
•Background Check Required.
Or
•2 completed units of early childhood education each semester following initial employment
•Continuation in an educational program until fully qualified
•TB test, Pertussis and Measles immunization required, flu shot encouraged
•CPR and First Aid Certification Required.
•Background Check Required.

Physical Requirements:

•Employee must be able to work on their feet 8 hours per day excluding breaks 
•Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds or more
•Ability to work at least 40 hours per week from the Company’s Fremont, CA Executive  office with flexibility based on project needs
