Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Benefits Analyst to join our Human Resources team in Fremont, CA.  The Benefits Analyst will provide tactical and analytical duties related to our employee benefit plans and programs. This position reports to the Manager, Benefits and works closely with the Benefits team.



Key Accountabilities:

•Assists in ensuring benefits data integrity by researching, reporting, auditing, and collaborating with key stakeholders to resolve issues

•Audit and correct benefit deductions and enrollment discrepancies by reviewing and manipulating data 

•Responsible for testing and compliance of various benefit plans and programs 

•Manages billing process which includes reviewing and reconciling enrollment data and approving invoices for payment 

•Lead data audit projects for various benefit plans and programs 

•Research and respond to escalated employee service center inquiries and requests

•Analyze errors in HR systems, identify trends, and make recommendations to resolve issues

•Provide finance and accounting partners detailed monthly reporting of high claim activity 

•Resolves non-routine problems by evaluating and assessing new approaches to current processes and issues

•Provide benefit analytics, including reporting, dashboards and queries

•Document and maintain procedures for assigned benefit processes

•Evaluate and advise on internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency

•Perform other benefit-related analytic functions and projects, as assigned by Management


Skills/Abilities/Experience & Qualifications:
•Position based in Fremont, CA headquarters
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years related experience (or comparable combination of education and experience) 
•Strong analytical and system skills including ability to balance multiple priorities at the same time
•Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to identify inconsistencies in data
•Ability to work independently and perform analysis on large amounts of data 
•Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills 
•Excellent interpersonal skills and friendly demeanor with a team-oriented approach
•Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality 
•Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills required; including vlookup, pivot tables and formulas
•Experience with PeopleSoft, a plus

Physical Requirements:
•Ability to work at least 40 hours per week  
•Ability to handle repetitive motion necessary for typing and filing 
•Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount frequently to move objects.
