Supply Chain Analyst
Position Summary:
Supply Chain Analytics is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to join their dynamic team. This position will provide analytical support to the Logistics & Supply Chain operations that includes all the Distribution Centers, HUBs and Canadian logistics.
Some of the primary functions of
the Supply Chain Analyst include using industry software and other tools to
provide network modeling/optimization on a regular basis, planning and
communicating delivery routes for multiple locations in a dynamic environment,
analyzing cost impact of shipping product via various modes,
forecasting/budgeting, and other logistics-related analyses.
Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Analysis
·
Analyze data and problem solve simple to complex ad hoc operation
initiatives
·
Create cost/benefit analysis on proposed recommendations and actions
·
Collect data using various software tools & validate requirements
before initiation
·
Perform root cause analysis on exceptions and problem statements
·
Perform GAP analysis on new objectives & provide insights for
further process improvements
·
Monitor industry standards, trends, & practices to identify
developments in logistics planning
Reporting (Finance & Operations)
·
Maintain & update assigned reports required by Finance Department
·
Support KPI reporting & provide analytical support to Supply Chain
business units
·
Verify & maintain Operational D.C./Hub & Store alignment
·
Proactively monitor diesel fuel trends & forecast impact to
logistics expenses
3rd Party Vendors
·
Point of Contact for 3rd Party payment provider to identify &
investigate anomalies
·
Provide & maintain Account and GL logic codes for all parcel &
freight accounts
· Export provider data to MS Excel to analyze large data sets for various ad hoc projects
Other duties & reporting as assigned by Manager.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- 2-3
years’ experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Analytics
- Minimum
of 1 year experience working in project teams preferred
- Bachelor’s
Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Analytics or equivalent
experience
- Experience
with: Six Sigma, SQL, CASS, Oracle, Omnitracts, or Cheetah Logistics a
plus
- Knowledge
of 3rd Party Logistics and transportation systems preferred
- Must
be able to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports
- Self-starter,
ability to work on multiple tasks with minimum supervision
- Proficient
using pivot tables & building Excel models
- Very
detail-oriented with strong organization skills
- Quick-learner
and self-motivated
- Strong
written and verbal communication skills
- Strong
math and logic skills
- Understanding
of business concepts: Business Logistics, Transportation, & Supply
Chain Management
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently with deadlines
Physical Demands:
· Individuals
may need to sit or stand as needed. The position requires walking primarily on
a level surface for periodic periods through the day. The employee may reach
above shoulder heights or below the waist or lift as required to store
materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required.
